I will have to try your recipe mummza, now that I have a canning set up.  How long does it last (if everyone behaves?).

Maree , yes we did a book for Marie , I thought you'd contributed a recipe .
It was Debs that organised it to raise money for an operation.

MsP , it keeps for a couple of weeks in the fridge .

Well , the lemon curd got made and its so good ( even though I say it myself !) . But the first batch was a disaster as I somehow crushed and egg getting most of the shell into the bowl too much to pic out so I had to drive the beaten egg .
Then I managed to tip a load of lemon pips into the bowl ( which already had the melted warmed butter and sugar in it plus the eggs and half of the lemon juice ). In fishing out the lemon pips I forgot to stir the lemon curd and within seconds it started to become lime scrambled egg !!!
So that was that it had to be thrown away .

Second batch I made perfectly . It's realy good but having wasted the one batch bit every one had it in the little hamper baskets hat we had put together .
Never mind ,I will need to make more soon as we are expecting visitors and I can give some to my  neighbours who missed out on it then .

Thanks Kye. He's still asleep. Going to make Jamie's Christmas morning waffles for breakfast when he surfaces and serve with fresh berries and maple syrup.

Noticed last night that I can only reply using "quick post" (which I tend to use anyway) as "Reply" is also under construction. Not to worry.
