I thought so - much like the vote buttons individual YouTube comments have. I actually think that's a superb idea. Will be sure to have a look into it, thanks.

Merlin, would it be nuts to have a 'like' button for posts as they do on Facebook?

It's like the way the original Star Trek technology looks today - yes, let's put big flashing red knobs on a piece of cardboard . . . Merlin may have trouble getting this option to look like the controls on a high tech space ship, but I'm sure he'll think of something!

Re: This new JO site...
Dunno, I think a straightforward "This post has been liked 3 times" or 3 "Thumbs up, 1 thumbs down" would cheapen the site....
However, if there was a way to have a little "Tag line" at the bottom of each post saying something like "For this this post, Mrs.P, has received thanks from Wine~o, Mada, Kye & Ashen" for instance, then not only does every-one know who found it useful, but the OP also feels valued by their peers...
(And yes this can be done on Punbb...)

I agree Mr. wine~o. I didn't think we should have a vote because that sort of popularity contest thing . . . nevermind, but I'd certainly like being able to just hit that 'like' option, even if only the poster who receives the like knows about it.

Re: This new JO site...
If it was seamless and easy, I would have been using bold, italic, underline, but can't be bothered with a bunch of code - too antiquated for today's user-friendly systems.

Re: This new JO site...
I think I mentioned it last year sometime, but I would like to see an expansion on the notebook idea from foodwise to cover the blogs and forums as well as any new sections of interactive content that may be added in the future.

the blog pics related to foodwise is much more attractive than a written post, and I feel as if the gardening has desappeared ![]()
