it wouldn't on it's own. I could post a spam link now and it would be picked up fairly quickly, as this post will go to the top of the "new posts" list.

However, If I leave the post for a week or two then post a spam link, the spam remains, and unless someone goes back and looks at the post and thinks "that wasn't there a week ago" and reports the post then the link remains...and the more people that click on said link the higher Google rates the spam site.
