I can highly recommend the use of a conical flask for making dressings

Don't worry it's one I got as a gift pre-filled with dressing; didn't just bring it home from the lab.

Never would, even if something looks new or is straight out of the packet. Chemical contamination spears quickly and easily and is frequently not visible. Apart from the theft aspect too. They aren't all that cheap.
