Re: Whats For Supper?

Steak with mashed potato, mushroom sauce and broccoli. Anyone know something more interesting to do with the broccoli than steaming??

Re: Whats For Supper?

I love to stir fry broccoli, it keeps it's delicious crunch whilst being enhanced by other flavours. I like to stir fry broccoli with garlic, ginger, chilli, lime juice, soy sauce, a little sugar, and some peanuts or cashew nuts.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Last night I had some delicious falafel wraps, they are so easy and quick to make yet they are so delicious. The recipe can be found here: http://www.thomasvinicombe.co.uk/2013/0 … wraps.html

I hope you enjoy!

Sounds good.  You can roast it, although I have never tried it that way because I really like it steamed or stir-fried and sometimes when I steam it, I add a little soy/ginger/garlic.

Our recent dinners:
Cottage pie
homemade chicken and roasted vegetable soup featuring bok choy and mushrooms
bacon/avocado/lettuce/tomato sandwiches
smoky grilled NY strip steak with corn-on-the-cob, chopped salad

Re: Whats For Supper?

Tonight we've got two racks of pork ribs, which I've slow cooked overnight.  I'll probably make a barbequeue sauce (with tomatoes, mustard and coconut sugar) for them before putting them under the grill to heat.  Don't yet know what vegetables, but we'll  see  who prefers roasted cauliflower, or leeks, or cabbage, or all three ...

Re: Whats For Supper?

Baked pork and veal meatballs in a tomato sauce (mushroom ragu for the vegetarian) with creamy polenta and a rocket salad.
