Yes bcrain, "gelato" is Italian for ice-cream thumbsup .

"Granita" means water ice or slush.

"Sorbetto" means sorbet or sherbet.

"Semifreddo" is a dessert/cake containing cream/icecream and therefore kept and served chilled.
