Ingredients
500g softened butter
4 Tbsp sugar (optional for the real sweet tooth)
1 can condensed milk
4 cups self-raising flour (sifted)
Method
Cream together butter and sugar. Add condensed milk and fold in the flour.
Drop onto baking paper (a tablespoon per biscuit) and bake until golden - approx 10 minutes in a moderate oven.
Allow to cool and harden on tray for 10 minutes before removing.
Ideas:
# Decorate: 100’s and 1000’s; crushed nuts; choc chips; glace cherries; slivered almonds; melted chocolate; join with jam/Nutella; icing, M&M’s; sprinkles.
# Add into Mix: choc chips; crushed nuts; 100’s and 1000’s; lemon or orange zest; slivered almonds; M&M’s; Strawberry Quick; food dye; finely diced chocolate bars; cornflakes; tiny marshmallows; Milo; grated/diced fudge; sultanas.
# Mixture can also be made into jam drops.

I am wrapped I use to make this recipe when I was teenager. There was a lot of us kids and me and my sister use to divide the recipe into four portions and each make 2 different variations. Eg, peanut brownies, rockies, afghans, coconut, etc. Thank you very much I have spent years looking for this recipe am excited to get making them again.

They are really good with nuts :)
I personally think the sugar is a necessity rather than optional, but they turned out lovely......light and fluffy!!!!
