Ingredients
2 cups red lentils.
4+1/2 cups water.
1 bayleaf.
2 medium onions - sliced.
2 cloves garlic - chopped.
1/2 tsp ginger.
1/2 tsp tumeric.
2 tblsp oil.
2 tsp garam masala.
salt & pepper.
Method
Throw all in saucepan & cook until golden and thick.
Serve with brown rice.
Survived off this when I was a student & broke...
