A healthy and quick to be prepared dish. Its a dish based on wheat (actually there is no oatmeal food in Greece...saying oatmeal everyone means this food)
Ingredients
2 serves
180 grms oatmeal
4 big mushrooms (sliced)
1 onion(sliced in many pieces)
1 red pepper(not the hot ones)
3 tb sp tomato sauce
1 tea sp salt
1/4 tea sp pepper
4 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tea sp sugar
Method
Having promised to announce this recipe i cant do much more than giving you the authentic recipe that my grandmother taught me.
So...in a deep pan, put the sliced onion the mushrooms , the red pepper and add oil.Next add the sugar. The temperature must be medium so...cook them all until onions color turn into gold.
Add the oatmeal and the sauce and mix all the ingredients a few times ,using a woody spoon.Add 2 1/2 glasses of water and let the food be cooked until the food absorb the water.
You see its very simple....And healthy
