Re: Problems with wisdom teeth - what to eat?

Till your girlfriend can see a dentist, try rubbing a little oil of cloves on the gum.
It numbs the pain instantly and at least she'll be able to sleep - you too  smile Mind not to touch the tongue though 'cos that's not nice.

Vanilla, if you only looked like a hamster you were lucky! When mine (all 4) were removed it was not only swolen, but the lower half of my face was bright green. I looked like a giant pear!! lol  lol

Can definately recommend the oil of cloves, it tastes horrible but it really does numb the pain, you can get it at the chemist.

Hope she feels better soon  smile

Re: Problems with wisdom teeth - what to eat?

When I had mine out Minty Mushy peas were my savior.  Use the frozen peas as an icepack untill thawed, then make the Minty Mush

16 oz frozen peas
20 mint leaves
2 tbsp butter

Boil the peas for 1 minute, add to food processer with mint, add butter at last second before turning out of the bowl.

My dentist did a pretty good job, and I'd evolved to the point where I only had three wisdom teeth in the first place, so the pain was minimal, but when it did hit I used Ambesol...clove oil will work very well too, just tastes worse.

Hope that she gets better soon.
