Jamie’s Union Jacks restaurant in Chiswick played host to a Bonfire Night bonanza when locals were treated to street food and games to celebrate the  launch of the new menu. Apple bobbing, magicians, roast chestnuts and hot dogs kept little dudes and grown-ups glowing through the evening.

Union Jacks Chiswick has a cracking new selection which includes top drawer burgers with bacon and Westcombe Cheddar as well as good old fish’n’chips, homemade pies and Sunday roasts.

Jamie said: “We thought we’d treat some of the locals to a cool little party here in Chiswick – it’s all about celebrating Union Jacks and our unique and beautiful menus. I cannot tell you how delicious and retro it all is I just love it here. Tonight is really special as we head into the time of year that us Brits are so good at – Christmas!

“I got to shout about the burger, it’s without doubt the best in town!”

There are four Union Jacks restaurants – Chiswick, Winchester, Holborn and Covent Garden – as well as a bar airside at Gatwick’s North Terminal.

UJ’s is most noted for its flatbreads, unique pizzas with rocking toppings including Fish Pie and Chilli Freak all created by Jamie and his pal Chris Bianco – famous for making the best pizzas outside of Italy.

Chris said at the party: “This new menu really reflects our policy of from the back door out, sourcing the best ingredients as locally as possible all wrapped up in a retro and beautiful environment.”
