Jamie ended his trip to Australia with a call to all Australians to lead the fight against obesity throughout the world.

Jamie went Down Under to announce the location of a new pop-up Ministry of Food cooking school, which will open later in the year in the City of Onkaparinga, near Adelaide. He’s been inspired by the tireless work of everyone working in his charity and for the same cause, and as he does every time he visits Australia, has fallen in love with the country and the people he’s met.

But while visiting one of the Ministry’s mobile kitchens in Geelong, he recorded a message to Aussies, asking them to support his fight for better food education and the revival of cooking skills – because the battle hasn’t been won yet.

“Australia is now the fourth most unhealthy and obese country in the world,” Jamie says. “So guys, if you agree with me; if you believe now is a time for change; if you believe projects like the Ministry of Food, teaching people about food in communities that need it –not just in Geelong, not just in Ipswich, not just in Sydney, but all around Australia – then please like this little video.”
